The objective here was to take an object everybody was familiar with and add a twist to it. Starting with the dice archetype, they worked on a way to elevate its original design.
By sliding the dots on the deges of the cube, it reduces the number of dots and the carvings makes them contrast with the surface a dice stands on, so there is no need to paint them. The face that was left with four complete edges was the perfect place to put the logo, representing the number one.
